Introduction

Dear Athletic Director / Hiring Committee / Head Coach,
I am writing to express my interest in contributing to your Women's Basketball program.
At the highest levels of the game, success is increasingly defined by one factor: access to and acquisition of talent. That is where I provide immediate value.
Over the past 20+ years, I have built and maintained a global recruiting infrastructure that consistently identifies, evaluates, and places talent across Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia. I have helped facilitate more than 200 NCAA placements, working beyond traditional pipelines to access under-recruited, international, and transferable talent pools. I understand how to project development, manage transitions, and align players with the right systems and environments.
"I also maintain active relationships within the professional agency space, including organizations such as Gersh Sports (You First), Transferbasket, Excell Sports, and Wasserman Basketball. These relationships provide real-time insight into player movement, the transfer portal landscape, and evolving NIL dynamics, allowing me to approach roster construction with both immediacy and long-term strategy."
Currently, as Head Coach at Mohawk College (Ontario, Canada), I led a complete program turnaround by rebuilding the roster, redefining the culture, and establishing clear standards. The result: the program's first conference championship in 34 years, Coach of the Year recognition, a national #1 ranking in February 2026, the college's first All-Canadian and the first regular season title since 1990–1991. The foundation of that success was not accidental; it was built through intentional recruiting, player development, and alignment.
While recruiting is a defining strength, it is supported by a clear philosophy: culture precedes schemes, and talent must be developed, connected, and accountable. My experience as a former NCAA Division I student-athlete, combined with my background in sports business, NIL strategy, and athletic advancement, allows me to operate effectively within the modern collegiate model.
I am open to contributing in a role that aligns with your program's competitive ambitions and long-term vision. I am confident in my ability to expand your recruiting reach, strengthen roster construction, and add immediate, measurable value to your staff and student-athletes.
If you are looking to elevate your program's access to talent and build a roster with both depth and global reach, I would welcome the opportunity to connect.
Respectfully,
MIHAI RADUCANU
